Introducing Design 55

Design 55 was established in 2008 by Auckland art dealer Gary Langsford and partner Vicki Vuleta on the ground floor of a converted warehouse at 55 Upper Queen Street, Auckland. Design 55 specialises in unique and limited edition items as well as select vintage pieces. Langsford and Vuleta approached a number of important international designers who agreed to exclusive representation by Design 55 for New Zealand and in some cases Australia.

Designers include: Fornasetti from Milan, Campana Brothers from South America, Gufram from Italy, Fish Design from Milan, Cenedese from Venice, Roubini Rugs from New York and the foundation of French artist Yves Klein from Paris.

Design 55 recently began working with New Zealand designers which resulted in the launch of a range of pieces titled "woven" from furniture designer Timothy John, some items of which have been featured in major design publications in Europe.

Design 55 offer a complete interior design service which includes everything from kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and lighting etc. Design 55 is also

able to offer an art consultancy service through gallery director Gary Langsford and clients of Design 55 have privileged access to previews of gallery exhibitions and visits to artists' studios.
