2. 1859 Mr T Fairburn Estate, Allot &1860 Mr Herbert Ashton, Allot 5 

Mr Ashton, a former draper from London, ran a wholesale drapery company in Auckland city. Interestingly, he minted his own coins to use in his shop due to the limited amount of British coins circulating in the Colony. He became secretary of Auckland City Board in 1862 and a member of Karangahape Highway Board in1869, collecting rates.
